Ok, so this isn’t exactly about cooking or craft, but I had such a good time at the Colour Run in Brighton yesterday, I had to share it.
For those who have never taken part in a Colour Run, it’s a gentle 5km event, which some run, others jog and some choose to walk, all to raise money for charity. Along the route, there are several ‘colour stations’, where you will be pelted with various colours of powder paint. There was also a foam station, which was lots of fun. The children in particular loved the foam, with lots of them dropping to the ground to make ‘foam angels’.
There were literally thousands of people taking part and I even spotted DJ Norman Cook AKA Fatboy Slim in amongst the runners. The event had a real party atmosphere from start to finish with a group warm up, giveaways and an end of race party too, with even more paint being thrown around.
I was taking part in the event with a group of friends to raise money for the children’s charity, Embrace East Sussex, which helps children with special educational needs. A lot to ask I know, but if you could spare a few pennies, I know the charity would be very grateful if you could sponsor us retrospectively here.
And I can thoroughly recommend signing up to a Colour Run event near you, as it really is just a whole lot of fun.
